“Moorlands” Handspun Yarn, Tussah Silk/Corriedale Wool

Handspun yarn: fingering weight Corriedale plied with Tussah silk, colorway “Moorland”

This unique handspun yarn is made up of one ply of Corriedale wool and another of Tussah silk, spun in a light fingering to sport weight. The result is a soft-to-the-skin yet deceptively tough yarn—just the thing for a shawl or a delicate sweater. The colors, green-olive grey-blue wool paired with a gleaming lavender-to-purple silk, are hard to communicate on screen; but this might be the prettiest dang yarn I’ve ever made.
